Hello yellow: new look for btcc.net!

 

There’s now a distinct yellow feel to the btcc.net website thanks to the return of Dunlop as official title sponsor of the MSA British Touring Car Championship.

As previously announced, the world-famous tyre manufacturer is stamping its colours on the UK’s – and one of the world’s – best-loved motor racing series for the next four years.

The change of colour also extends to a dynamic new homepage flash banner and over into the site’s hugely popular chat forum.

Dunlop was previously title sponsor from 2005-2007 before handing over to sister fast-fit company HiQ which will now back the BTCC’s coveted Teams’ championship.

This latest arrangement means the BTCC’s relationship with the Goodyear-Dunlop group will extend to 13 successive years since the company was appointed official tyre supplier to the series in 2003.

It’s a partnership that in 2009 resulted in a technological breakthrough when Dunlop successfully pioneered its new RFID tyre system in the BTCC. This year, it will supply all teams on the grid with its new Dunlop Sport Maxx BTCC tyre which complies ahead of schedule with new EU environmental regulations on the use of aromatic oils in tyre construction.
