Cameron with NJL Racing announced his entry racing
Today karting young gun Cameron with NJL Racing announced his entry racing on a TALKO Veloce Chassis powered by the TAG engine to compete in the 2011 British Super One Kart Championship. Cameron aged 14 raced in the Junior TKM Championship last year at Whilton Mill and came 9th overall in his first year of karting out of 36 drivers..
With support from Chung Ying Garden / Shell Racing Solutions / OWB / 6th Gear/ Monster Energy / Showtrax and Sabelt, Cameron will compete in his first year in Super One. The British Super One Championship is the pinnacle kart championship in the UK which F1 stars like Jenson Button, Lewis Hamilton and David Coulthard all successfully competed in their step towards Formula One. Cameron has great determination to follow in their footsteps as a successful British race driver. In 2010 for the first round of his championship he achieved three wins in his class! In just his first year in a full TKM championship Cameron finish in the top ten overall in the championship and now has a great opportunity to compete in the British Super One Championship.
Cameron added “The first year in this top flight championship isn't going to be easy especially with the small budget we have and I still need to find some more during the season. But my team are there to support me all the way and we will certainly give it our best shot and effort...
Team Manager of NJL Racing - Nick said “It's been a very hard battle to raise sponsorship for Cameron this year with what’s going on in the economic climate at present and we were hoping for some more support from companies looking to help young British talent in Motorsport, but this has been very disappointing which is great shame as it's a great achievement to be entering the British Super One Kart Championship and there are some great opportunities for sponsors to be involved”.
If any companies are out there that would like to support Cameron or for more information and pictures please contact: nick@njlracing.com
