Birmingham’s Chung Ying Restaurants backs Midlands Super One Young Gun - Cameron Leason....

Chung Ying Restaurants, one of the largest and most popular Chinese Restaurant Situated at the heart of Birmingham’s “China Town” will be backing this year Midlands karting young gun Cameron Leason who will now be competing in the British Super One Championship in 2011. Cameron aged 14 raced in the Junior TKM Championship last year at Whilton Mill and came 9th overall in his first year of karting out of 36 drivers..

With new support from Chung Ying Restaurants / Shell Racing Solutions / 6th Gear Experience/ Showtrax / Talko / Monster Energy and Sabelt, Cameron will compete in his first year in Super One. The British Super One Championship is the pinnacle kart championship in the UK which F1 stars like Jenson Button, Lewis Hamilton and David Coulthard all successfully competed in their step towards Formula One. Cameron has great determination to follow in their footsteps as a successful British race driver.
Cameron added “The first year in this top flight championship isn't going to be easy especially with the small budget we have and I still need to find some more during the season. But myself and my family run team are there to support me all the way and we will certainly give it our best shot and effort...

Cameron now has started his testing schedule preparing for his season ahead in the British Super One Kart Championship which starts this weekend. Cameron completed successful tests with his Team NJL Racing at Whilton Mill, Shenington and PFI were the first round of The British Super One Championship will take place on the 17/18/19th March. Testing was done to understand and get use to not only some of the circuits across the country he will be racing at this year but also the new Talko Veloce Chassis Cameron will be competing on with the TAG engine.

Cameron added “it has not been easy as we are working on a very small limited budget but it is great now to have James and Chung Ying Restaurants on board and be supporting me all the way. James has been very supportive and we have been working hard together to make this work and give me the opportunity to race in the UK’s most pinnacle Championship. I have been very pleased with how the testing has gone especially in wet conditions we are very competitive on times at all circuits we have tested on so far although would be nice to get some dry day testing as we have been very limited on this at present with the weather. I am so lucky to have the chance this year to do Super One and can’t wait for the first round at PFI were I will give it my best shot and effort for my sponsors and Team who have supported me.”

About Cameron Leason in 2011:
Cameron aged just 14 has demonstrated the skills and determination to succeed in motorsport. In just his first year of Karting competing in a full championship achieved 9th out of 36 drivers overall in the Junior TKM Championship at Whilton Mill and the first TAG engine kart to be in the top ten.. Finished a credible 8th overall in the final of the TKM Festival in 2010 and achieved his Karting national A Licence. Now he has a great opportunity to compete in the 2011 British Super One kart Championship which F1 stars like Jenson Button, Lewis Hamilton and David Coulthard all successfully competed in their step towards Formula One.
