Leason and NJL Racing Achieve their Goals for the Season with Bigger Success to Come in 2013
Young kart star - Cameron Leason and Team NJL Racing have finished on a high in the British Super One Championship, achieving their goals for the race season with the knowledge of bigger success to come in 2013. Cameron Leason who is the youngest driver to enter Formula KGP has had his fair share of ups and downs this season competing in the British Super One kart Championship, but still managed to finish on a high... He started the season in the British Super One Series in his second year in Junior TKM but unfortunately run out of funding half way through the season.. But fortunately was given a reprieve which resulted him being given the chance to race the rest of the season in Formula KGP.
To his surprise he managed to gain some great finishes including a 7th at Clay pigeon. All this resulted in Cameron being the top driver amongst six who started in the second half of the season.. This has been a great achievement in his first assault in Formula KGP preparing him for a full campaign next year.
Cameron added “I have been very pleased with what we have achieved this year especially in Formula KGP in the British Super One Championship, I went in there as the youngest driver and we have shown we have some good pace and achieved some respectable results in a very competitive championship with world class drivers. I just need to work hard now with the team to raise sponsorship to return next year for a full campaign and to challenge for the title.”
Team owner manager - Nick from NJL Racing commented “ The Team are moving forward all the time with Cameron in KGP. it has been a difficult year for Cameron even though he has great natural talent and has shown good pace we have found it hard to raise sponsorship this year. Fortunately half way through the season we were given a great opportunity in Formula KGP for Cameron to compete in the British Super One Package which has resulted to some great results in his first few KGP races We have been very pleased with Cameron and the teams progress this year in KGP and look forward to returning in 2013 to challenge for the title.. I would like to thank our sponsors, Showtrax International, Sabelt, 6th Gear Experience, KKC, LPTent, Northampton Chronicle and Monster Energy and thank Andy Cox from KGP, he has done a great job this year with Formula KGP series and thank him for his support he has given to Cameron and the Team!" |
